By joining Insight Enterprises as a Lead Network Engineer, you’ll enter a high-energy and tech-savvy world. We are currently helping one of our customers retrofit and refresh local WAN for school districts and we have an immediate need for a Sr. Network Engineer with previous enterprise experience with a carrier to join and provide leadership for a great team in Fresno, CA.
The goal of this role is continuing good health and expansion of a 100% fiber optic network and its employees and assets.
If you are a Lead Network Engineer with experience in an enterprise environment and able to design and implement solutions with the big picture in mind.
What you will be doing:
- Develop, manage and execute WAN plans and projects for school district buildings
- Develop and implement a network monitoring solutions
- Update stakeholders on project status
- Be a hands-on leader of a team of 4 network engineers
- Roughly 50% hands on work 50% supervisory responsibilities
What you need to join:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years applicable experience
- Strong Networking & Architecture expertise
- CCNA or CCNP strongly preferred
- Previous enterprise experience with carrier-grade network
- Experience with Fiber based network implementations and the technologies behind them
- Good Windows or Linux administration skills
- Experience with current Service Provider Network Technologies (DWDM, SDN, NFV)
- Conversant with Metro Ether 2.0
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time including some weekends and nights
